Abstract
Multinational study investigating how government actions and risk perception influenced the adoption of self-protective behaviors during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using time series and interrupted-series analysis in nine countries, the authors found contextual variations and confirmed that context and trust in authorities affect adherence to preventive measures.
