Abstract
Psychometric study evaluating the Spanish versions of the AAQ-III (psychological inflexibility) and the PsyFlex (psychological flexibility) in a Colombian general population sample (N=785) using network psychometrics. Exploratory Graph Analysis (EGA) identified unidimensional structures for both instruments, and bootEGA showed perfect structural consistency and item stability (1.00). In a joint EGA with the DASS-21 and BFI-2 Neuroticism, five communities emerged: AAQ-III and PsyFlex items formed their own communities, separate from emotional symptoms and neuroticism, providing structural evidence of discriminant validity, a known weakness of the AAQ-II. Both scales showed the expected patterns with the MPFI-SF and a moderate correlation with each other (r=−.38), suggesting that flexibility and inflexibility are related but not opposite patterns. First psychometric analysis of the Spanish AAQ-III.
